Algerian Mint Tea
Algeria
Orange blossom perfumed and sweetly floral—Algeria's fragrant twist on Maghreb mint tea.
The Story
Algeria sits between Morocco and Tunisia, and its tea reflects both influences while adding its own character. Orange blossom water (mazhar) is the signature—a few drops transform the mint tea into something almost intoxicating in its fragrance. In Algerian homes, tea is served after meals and to guests, always with generous hospitality. The floral notes make it particularly beloved during celebrations.
