Glenburn Moonshine
Glenburn Estate, Darjeeling
A unique Darjeeling with white tea-like delicacy—silvery tips, pale liquor, and a sweetness that seems to glow.
The Story
Glenburn Estate, overlooking the Kanchenjunga range, creates this unusual tea by using first flush leaves and processing them with minimal oxidation. The result is classified as black tea but drinks almost like a white—silver tips abound, the liquor is pale champagne, and the flavor is honeyed and ethereal. The Prakash family, who own Glenburn, have turned part of the estate into a tea tourism destination where visitors can experience the full journey from bush to cup.

Brewing Tips
Use lower temperature than typical black tea—this is a delicate brew. The liquor should be pale gold to champagne color. If it's amber, you've gone too hot. The silky texture is part of the experience.
